Sonic Frontiers
For those who don’t know, Sonic the Hedgehog is the main character of the “Sonic the Hedgehog” franchise. His games fall under the “platformer” genre, characterized by fast-paced control and engaging storylines. The franchise boasts a diverse cast of characters and captivating stories. However, in recent years, Sonic games have not lived up to expectations, causing concern among fans regarding the release of “Sonic Frontiers.” In this review, I’ll share my thoughts on whether the game lives up to its potential.
To be honest, I’ve always been a big fan of Sonic. So when “Sonic Frontiers” was released, I bought it and instantly fell in love. While I should talk about the game mechanics, the music deserves a mention as it’s so good! The soundtrack perfectly complements the game, setting the tone for each scene. The game features three types of music: heavy rock, dubstep, and relaxing music for exploration. Playing the game is extremely fun, with beautiful and interesting islands to explore. Controlling Sonic is both comfortable and fast. My only complaint is that the difficulty is unbalanced, with some parts being too hard and others too easy.
Moving on to the story, recent Sonic games have had weak plots, but “Sonic Frontiers” improves upon this. The villains are interesting, and each character undergoes growth throughout the game. However, the ending is very disappointing, feeling rushed and boring.
In conclusion, “Sonic Frontiers” is the game Sonic needed to be great again. Although it has its flaws and downsides, the game is incredibly enjoyable and marks a significant step forward for the franchise.
